Match Preview: RGVFC Host Seattle Sounders 2

The Toros look to avoid falling out of the playoff spots against a 3rd place Sounders 2.

After a less than satisfactory two game road trip in which the team only managed to earn one point, the Toros return home to H-E-B Park hoping to bring better results. To do so, they must shake off Wednesday’s loss against Reno 1868 and defeat Seattle Sounders 2.

Seattle Sounders 2 (5-5-2):

The Sounders 2 are currently in third place in the Western Conference with 17 points. They come to this game having defeated LA Galaxy II at home 3-0.

Parra leads the Sounders 2 in goals this season, having scored 5 times in 11 appearances.

RGVFC Toros (4-4-2):

The Toros are currently in eighth place in the Western Conference. A win tonight may potentially place them in third place behind Real Monarchs and San Antonio. Any other result may result in falling from a playoff spot. They were defeated 3-2 by Reno 1868 last Wednesday.

Clockwork Charlie Ward has proven to be the most important player in the RGVFC lineup. He is one of the best ball distributors in the league with almost 90% pass completion rate out of 622 passes.
